We, the staff of Southside Assembly, wish to express our joy concerning your future wedding. We will accommodate weddings for those regular in attendance and their immediate family that are part of this ministry. We pledge ourselves to help make your wedding a beautiful and memorable experience. The following information and rules are to clarify and simplify the preparations and arrangements concerning your wedding. 1. Call the church secretary and confirm that the date and time you have chosen for your wedding is clear on the church calendar. Saturday weddings may not be held after 2:00 pm. 2. The church secretary will have forms that need to be filled out before the date can be finalized. 3. A Minister of the church shall be a consultant and assist at all weddings held on the premises. Other ministers may be invited to assist, only after consultation with the officiating minister. 4. Within 30 days of your wedding, you must apply for the marriage license. When obtained, the license may be left at the church office. 5. Florists need to be advised of the "Rules for Decorating", which will be given to you by the church secretary. 6. The church secretary will also give you regulations for catering receptions on the church premises. Reception arrangements are to be made with the church. Alcoholic beverages are not allowed at the church reception. 7. Fees for Members and family only: $250 for use of facilities (either sanctuary) 8. Additional Fees for maintenance: - Wedding and Rehearsal (either sanctuary): $75 for one maintenance worker. Any extra help provided will be an additional $10 per hour, per person. - Wedding, Rehearsal, and Reception: $125 - Rehearsal Dinner in Fellowship Hall: $25 - Reception only in Fellowship Hall: $50 - Sound Technician: $75 for wedding & rehearsal; with reception, $25 additional. Please note, in order to use the church's sound equipment, you must hire the sound technician. If the reception is held in the Fellowship Hall, a deposit of $50 is required. The check should be made payable to Southside Assembly of God. The check will be held on file. If the kitchen and fellowship hall are left in good order, the church will be returned, but if further maintenance is required it will be paid to the maintenance staff that clean up. For non-members the fees will be as follows: - $1,000 for use of the main sanctuary - $700 for use of the old sanctuary (Refuge Hall) - $500 for use of the Pemberton Fellowship Hall These fees will cover all maintenance services and our sound technician. The Honorarium to the Pastor is normally the responsibility of the groom and is given directly to him by the groom before the ceremony. In addition to the fees above, the musician and vocalists also receive an honorarium. The suggested fee for the organist/pianist is $50 and $35 for each vocalist. This honorarium is the responsibility of the groom and is given directly to the musicians before the ceremony.
