Sunday School

Each Sunday morning from 9:15 to 10:12, Southside Assembly offers excellent teaching from God’s Word for all ages. The classes include structured systematic approach that prepares families to live exciting faith-filled lives and achieve the God ordained destiny He has planned. Each class is blessed with outstanding teachers and a warm time of fellowship.
 

World Missions

Southside Assembly is a church with a worldwide vision for reaching the lost. Over 100 missionaries and ministries are supported monthly financially as well as with prayer intercession. The church sponsors annual trips with teams from the church to build church, schools, and other projects. The heartbeat of Southside Assembly is to reach the lost, both at home and abroad.  
 

Music Ministry

Worship and praise are central to every aspect of ministry at Southside. Each service is filled with anointed and gifted ministry to the Lord and all present. Mike and Dana Hammontree along with the choir, musicians, soloist and groups exalt the Lord to release Holy Spirit anointing to see the captive free.
 

Refuge Student Ministries

Exciting and energetic with a passion to be God Chasers are key words to express the heart of the youth ministry at Southside. Each week on Wednesday at 7 PM the youth meet in the Refuge Student Center for an exciting service. 
 

Royal Explorers

Every Wednesday evening during mid-week prayer meeting young boys and girls from the ages of 3-11 years old are provided the opportunity to enjoy and grow through special designed ministry. They learn God’s Word and enjoy activities unique to boys and girls. This exciting event filled ministry is a blessing to boys and girls to build their faith and help them develop a life of destiny.
 

Children are important at Southside Assembly. Special loving care is given to train them in the knowledge of God and develop love and faith within their hearts. Each Sunday morning during the adult worship service, there is ministry for infants and for children up to 11 years old. Parents are pleased with the excellent ministry that grows faith. 
 

Senior Adult Ministry

Pacesetters, the senior adult ministry at Southside, is a fun-filled ministry that provides good food, fellowship, and exciting programs which are filled with joy and laughter. Jesus is the central theme as hearts are warmed and seniors are blessed. They provide unique events including day trips and special gatherings that offer wonderful opportunities to share friendship and encouragement.  They meet every third Tuesday of the month in Pemberton Hall.
 

Care and Share Ministry

Every Wednesday at 10:00 AM great Bible teaching and prayer intercession is for woman and men. This faith-filled time is filled with the Word and Holy Spirit anointed ministry. Lives are changed through this powerful time of life impacting ministry.
 

Food Pantry

Jacob’s Storehouse is the food distribution ministry of Southside Assembly. The pantry is opened to those of the church family or their family members who have crisis and family needs. The church participates with other citywide ministries to feed and assist homeless and transient people at locations other than Jacobs Storehouse. This is a ministry of love to those who need extra care.
